Believing for the impossible or believing for miracles is something that most people come up against at some time in their lives. The bible clearly says that God spared not His own Son will freely give us all things. (Romans 8:32) Believing in the face of a world filled with doubt and unbelief is not always so easy. Ninety-nine percent of the world does not really believe God does the impossible. We are constantly surrounded by those who will try to talk you out of believing God. They will try to talk you out of your miracle.
What is the answer? Don't surround yourself with those who don't believe. Take care that you set a hedge around yourself of those who believe in miracles, have seen miracles and do not hesitate to pray for miracles. Also, guard your tongue from agreeing with doubt. Only speak life and the promises of God. The bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue, so speak life. Speak the word of God over your situation. Declare these things with the passion of someone who knows the truth.
Pray without ceasing. If the word of God is true, and it is, why would we ever stop speaking it? Find the promises of God that apply to your situation. Whether it be healing or deliverance or finances, find those verses that apply and start making declarations of faith. Be tenacious! God is on your side. If God be with us, who can be against us?
Our God does the impossible.
Ahhh… This is the dilemma. I want to share my faith even when I don't open my mouth but should it be subtle, not so subtle or even bold? Do I want to whisper or shout? I am not ashamed of my faith or my relationship with the Lord but I want my shirt design to draw people and cause them possibly to ask questions. Maybe even look at my shirt and ask me "what does that say?" and give me the opportunity to talk about the Lord.
I'm not trying to hide and I'm not trying to hit someone over the head... Wherein lies the balance???
The reality is that we need both. The one that whispers and the one that shouts. The one that simply says "Jesus" and people see it and the Holy Spirit speaks to them Himself, and the one that looks like a neon sign that provokes people to wonder "what makes them so excited about God?"
I love my shirts with verses, crosses, sayings, designs that speak about my faith and then the ones where people have to ask you about it. I can't tell you the number of times people have asked "what in the world is a wild eyed tribe?"
Well.... I'm glad you asked.
